Huawei’s newest smartphone – the P9 will finally be unveiled at an official conference on 6th April, Wednesday. After a range of leaks over the past few weeks, we will at last get to witness the P9 in all its glory. A leaked image of P9’s rear cover was circulating the media few hours ago, which displayed a Leica camera module and the all new ‘Huawei’ etched on one side. And now we have the latest and perhaps the last of leaks for the P9 in the form of 3D Graphics Performance on GFXBench.
Earlier in March a similar leak was doing the rounds by AnTuTu but the spec list varies from what we witnessed on GFXBench. So, our best guess is that Huawei plans to launch 2 spec variants of P9 in the market. According to the benchmarking website, the latest electronic gadget by Huawei will sport a 5.1 inch touchscreen with 5 finger gesture support. A 1920*1080 pixel resolution will offer great image reproduction on your screen. The device will be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 955( Cortex A72-ARMv8) processor clocking at 2.5GHz coupled with an ARM Mali-T880 GPU and 3GB RAM. The internal storage capacity will be of 32GB which can be further expanded to 12GB with the aid of a micro-SD. A 12MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie-shooter completes the P9’s spec list. The Huawei device will run the upgraded Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei’s EMUI skinning on top. A 2900mAh battery will fuel the handset through the day with moderate usage.
The AnTuTu performance list from before however revealed a 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity while the other specifications match with those of GFXBench. If rumors are to be believed, the Huawei P9 will bear a price tag of 599 Euros, although we are not sure for which variant. If the price is for the 3GB/32GB model then you will have to pay more for the higher storage version.
No need to get all worked up and confused as the moment of truth is just a day away. The official announcements will put all the speculations and rumors to rest and also give you a first-hand insight into the Huawei smartphone. So just sit tight and wait for the grand opening!
